According to the Ministry of internal affairs of Kazakhstan, as of the night of the 5th, the domestic riots in Kazakhstan had killed 8 law enforcement personnel and injured 317 police and National Guard officers and soldiers.

According to the Almaty municipal management committee, Kazakhstan's law protection institutions have begun to carry out "anti-terrorism operations" aimed at restoring order. The management committee calls on residents to remain calm and assist law protection institutions to restore order and social stability.

According to the website of the presidential palace of Kazakhstan, Tokayev announced in his second television speech since the violent riots on the 5th that he would take tough measures against illegal gatherings as chairman of the national security conference of Kazakhstan from the same day. He said that despite the complex situation, the Kazakh government will continue to protect the rights of its people and foreigners in Kazakhstan and protect foreign companies and enterprises in Kazakhstan.
